UniAthena APL Accreditation Process

The student should apply for accreditation before he/ she starts the course. The student must sign the APL form before UniAthena is able to process the application for APL and give a decision. The application form will be countersigned by administrative and/or academic staff, as indicated on the form. 

The decision on whether application has been successful is processed by the Course Leader and the Institute’s Academic Committee. The Academic Committee will then make the final and formal decision on the application. 

As the APL process is one of negotiation between the student and the Course Leader, it is unlikely that the student will need to seek an appeal against the Academic Committee’s decision. However, if a student is unhappy with the decision, he/ she can represent the matter to the Academic Council.
