Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration

Entry Requirements

Learners must be in possession of a minimum:

(a) Matriculation certification (MQF level 4) full qualification (or an equivalent qualification) OR
(b) Diploma in Business Management at MQF Level 4 full qualification or an equivalent qualification AND
Proficient in English and in possession of IELTS 6.5 or higher (or an equivalent English qualification - if unavailable, students may apply for our English for Academic Purposes Course).

Each application will be assessed on its own merit.

Follow these steps to formally enroll into the Bachelor programme by eie:

1.Register on Athena Global Education for a free 7-day trial.
2. Upload all the documents as required under the 'Eligibility Criteria' to the learning portal by clicking on 'Enroll Now' on the learning dashboard.
3. The academic panel will then review your documents and if found to be eligible, send you an 'Admission Offer Letter'.

Once your payment is confirmed, you will be sent an official 'Admission Letter' along with a receipt for the amount paid. You will also get access to the Assignment related documents in the 'Project Details' section.

If you are unsure about your eligibility, then contact us at admissions@uniathena.com and attach the relevant documents in your email. You won't be asked to make a payment until we determine you are eligible to be admitted.

After enrolling in a particular program or receiving the admission letter, we are unable to offer refunds as per our policy. However, prior to enrollment, all learners have the option to utilize the free trial period, which lasts between 3 to 7 days.

The Referral Policy is a UniAthena initiative to make our degree programs more  affordable to the learners. Learners can  share programs with  friends, family or even peers. If the Invitee enrolls for the suggested program, the next module is made free of charge.

The core modules of this programme allow learners to analyse and assess various business problems and opportunities and use tools which are applicable to different organisations and different industries and sectors.

This programme exposes learners to various assessment methods including summative and formative approaches including individual assignments.
Moreover, this programme also includes classroom-based assessments and reflective journal which allows the tutor to effectively analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the learners, as well as allows the same learner to further work on their strengths and weaknesses. This will ensure student autonomy as well as allows tutors to support students according to their requirements.

The skills obtained at the end of the program are:

a) Practice effective decision making and problem solving when dealing with problems at the place of work
b) Use various management tools which are applicable to various areas within management including SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces and others
c) Practice effective performance management tools 
d) Use critical thinking to be able to deal effectively with issues and challenges faced by organisations 
e) Communicate effectively with different stakeholders within the organisation both internal and external
f) Practice the management cycle in an effective manner 
g) Ensure compliance with the ethical considerations which are prominent within an organisation 
h) Apply various principles of strategy and strategic goals in organisations 
i) Implement various research collection and data analysis within business research 
j) Use traditional marketing and digital marketing within organisations and within different areas

Once you have registered for the course, you can complete the programme in a fixed time period of 36 months.

Each module must be completed within 60 days of the enrollment date.

Year 2
Sustainable Business Practice  - 12 ECTS
Leadership and Business Management - 12 ECTS
Customer Relationship Management - 12 ECTS
Business Economics   - 12 ECTS
Research Methods  - 12 ECTS

Year 3
Organisational Behaviour and Performance - 12 ECTS
Communications in Business   - 12 ECTS
Business Ethics & Corporate Social Responsibility    - 12 ECTS
Business Research Projects   - 24 ECTS

Learners shall have the opportunity to further their studies by following a Master in Business Administration in any of the outlined fields. This programme does not lead to a regulated or warranted profession.

This qualification is awarded by eie Institute of Education and is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA).

MFHEA deems this Bachelor of Arts to be at MQF Level 6 (180 ECTS) of the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.

After successful completion of a) 60 ECTS, or b) 120 ECTS, students can also opt to exit from the Bachelor programme and be awarded the:

a) Undergraduate Diploma in Business Administration (MQF Level 5 - 60 ECTS) or the 
b) Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Business Administration (MQF Level 5 - 120 ECTS).

An Exit Fee is applicable for any candidate who wishes to exit earlier from this course and obtain the exit award. The exit award fee is not applicable if a candidate withdraws from this course and is not awarded with an exit award. A letter of completion, listing any modules successfully completed, together with an unofficial transcript (confirming that the course was not successfully completed) will be given to such candidate.

Successful learners will be invited to attend convocation in Malta.
