“When you don't cover up the world with words and labels, a sense of the miraculous returns to your life that was lost a long time ago when humanity, instead of using thought, became possessed by thought.”

A New Earth is one of the most popular books authored by the famous spiritual teacher and visionary Eckhart Tolle. The book talks about "living in the present," thereby discovering the joy and freedom of life.

The book in itself is a form of teaching to help one evoke the consciousness within and to be present in life. The book begins by focusing on the egoistic state of mind, where the never-ending state of desire acts as a troublesome hindrance in the path of joy. The ultimate aim of every living thing is to experience joy and peace, but we ourselves have attached it to various material experiences, so we seldom find the real joy we seek. The unending want to have more is often part of the unconscious ego that we let rule our lives.

The book addresses all forms of suffering, from the egoistic mind to anger, greed, and the grief of jealousy and anxiety. To let go of these emotions is where the author guides us to, and the book promises that it actually works - provided that we follow basic practices to let go with good focus.

The book promises guidance on how to be more at peace and consciously find out that one is experiencing joy in peaceful wellbeing. Many times, we are so confused with the changing world around us that we do not even understand our own feelings. The book is a guide that redirects us to "oneself."

The author has also advised on the simplest yet powerful meditative form- the breathing exercise to help the readers bring back to the present moment the power of being. Most importantly, the book inspires us to accept things as they are while also making peace with our own emotions and thoughts, which are completely within our control. The book highlights the importance of having a positive mental attitude towards everything in life and discovering ourselves a new earth and a new experience because at the end of the day, it is within ourselves that we find consciousness or heaven.
