Academic Route

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or academic equivalent) in any subject.

Mature Entry Route

If you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree, you can apply through our mature entry route. You’ll need to provide evidence of 5 years (Minimum) of relevant managerial work experience, along with certificates of your highest diplomas/degrees/professional certifications and an updated resume. Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please send these details to admissions@uniathena.com. Applicants should be 23 years of age or above. Admission through the Mature Entry Route will be subject to the discretion of the Athena Global Education and the respective Awarding Bodies/Universities.

English Language Proficiency

Learners wishing to be admitted to the IMBA program should satisfy the following requirements:

1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in any subject.
2. If you are not a native speaker, you should have an appropriate English proficiency level, e.g. an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent in all bands or possess a Bachelor's degree delivered and assessed in English, or proof of work experience in an English-speaking environment.
3. Applicants without a Bachelor's degree will be considered on a case-by-case basis if they have relevant managerial experience of not less than 5 years.

All applicants are required to upload the following documents in order to be eligible for admissions:

1. Proof of having earned a Bachelor's Degree - such as a Degree Certificate. If the documents are not in English, official translations should be submitted.
2. The final transcript of Bachelor's Degree.
3. A copy of the government-issued photo identity card.
4. If you do not have a Bachelor's degree, you can still apply through the mature entry route. You will have to upload an updated resume along with the relevant work experience letters issued by your employers. You may also be contacted by our faculty for a telephone interview in order to ascertain your eligibility for the program.

Follow these steps to formally enroll into the Master of International Business Administration program:

1. Register on Athena Global Education for a free 7-day trial.
2. Upload all the documents as required under the 'Eligibility Criteria' to the learning portal by clicking on 'Enroll Now' on the learning dashboard.
3. The academic panel will then review your documents and if found to be eligible, send you an 'Admission Offer Letter'.
4. On receiving the 'Admission Offer Letter', you can start your payment.
5. You will be given access to subsequent module content only after completing the previous module.
Once your payment is confirmed, you will be sent an official 'Admission Letter' along with a receipt for the amount paid. You will also get access to the Assignment related documents in the 'Project Details' section.

If you are unsure about your eligibility or if you do not have a Bachelor's degree, then contact us at admissions@uniathena.com and attach the relevant documents in your email. You won't be asked to make a payment until we determine you are eligible to be admitted.

Once you register for the course, you will have access to the learning resources of the first module (or "course" in the American system) where you can access the learning materials and the e-library. Your access to these learning resources will end after 7 days of registration and you will need to enroll for the program. In order to be eligible for admission, you must upload all the eligibility-related documents on the learning portal and subsequently must have received an 'Offer of Admission' letter.

We have two different payment methods fast-track and flexible plans. Both  are meticulously designed to provide learners with seamless and convenient learning experience according to their budget plans. The fast-track plan comes with monthly payment options, propelling learners to fast-forward their learning journeys and offering substantial savings on module fees. It will serve as an ideal choice for those seeking to optimize both their time and budget. In contrast, the flexible plan is tailored to work around the hectic schedules of professionals, enabling them to progress and eliminate monthly financial obligations.

Yes, the Fast Track payment plans include Course Extension Charges as follows:

1. Course Extension for 3 months: USD 250
2. Course Extension for 6 months: USD 500
3. Course Extension for 9 months: USD 750
4. Course Extension for 12 months: USD 1000


Please note:

  • You can extend in phases of 3 months each by paying USD 250 every time (i.e., every 3 months extension will be charged at USD 250).
  • The minimum extension period is 3 months, meaning you must pay a minimum of USD 250 for a 3-month extension, even if you finish in less than 3 months.

After enrolling in a particular program or receiving the admission letter, we are unable to offer refunds as per our policy. However, prior to enrollment, all learners have the option to utilize the free trial period, which lasts between 3 to 7 days.

The Referral Policy is a UniAthena initiative to make our degree programs more  affordable to the learners. Learners can  share programs with  friends, family or even peers. If the Invitee enrolls for the suggested program, the next module is made free of charge.

The core resources of the program are video classes and related reading materials. The video lessons and reading materials will provide you with adequate knowledge to understand the module content.

Additionally, you will also be learning from webinars, online library, additional learning materials, and case studies curated by faculty.

Yes, whenever a learner joins, she/he will be assigned a Personal Tutor, whom the learners can reach out for any academic assistance. For any non-academic assistance, learners can reach out to the learners Experience Officer (see@uniathena.com).

Successful learners will be able to attend the annual graduation ceremony conducted in Italy. GMU will provide an invitation letter to all such learners which can be used for processing your visa for this purpose.

There are no written exams for this program. All the modules are assessed based on the module-specific project. Once you are enrolled in the module, you will be able to access the assignment brief under the 'Project Details' section in the learning portal. Apart from the assessment brief, you will be given the learning outcomes and performance criteria to know what is expected in the project from the learner. If you still have questions concerning the assignments, you can seek the support of the faculty. We are here to give you the help you need.

As soon as you are enrolled in a module, you will have 60 days to submit the assignment. However, submissions will be accepted from the 21st day of enrolment. You can choose to submit anytime during this 21-day to the 60-day timeline and immediately proceed to the next module. You can use this time to go through all the videos, read all the case studies and articles, and ask questions as you begin to write your assignment. Once submitted, you will not be able to make any changes.

After you have submitted the assignment, the faculty will evaluate and provide feedback, including results (your grade), within 21 days of your submission. If you fail, you will be given feedback on the assignment stating the reasons for failure. You will have to rework the project according to the feedback provided by the assessor. You need to rework only on the areas where you failed and not on the entire project. You are required to resubmit the assignment within 21 days of the publication of the result (grade). There are no additional fees for resubmission.

If you fail to submit the assignment within 60 days of the enrolment date, you can request an extension of not more than 30 days and pay a fee of USD 100.00 ($100).

If you do not resubmit the failed assignment within 21 days of the published results, you may request an extension of not more than 30 days by paying USD 100.00 ($100).

If you fail again on your RE-submission, you may apply for a Re-Take by paying USD 150 ($100). You will have another 60 days of access to the resources and will need to submit the assignment within 60 days from the retake date. The process then restarts as mentioned above.

On successful completion of all the modules and Dissertation, learners can claim for a certificate by making the payment for certification fees. Upon claiming the certificate, it will take a maximum of 3 months for the learners to receive the certificate from the awarding body.
Extra Courier charges of $50 has to be paid for receiving the hardcopy of the certificate.

GMU certificate will be issued within 3 months of the declaration of result and payment of certification fee whichever comes latest. (for more information: http://uniathena.com/)

The IMBA has two stages, the first stage consists of 6 modules, and learners who successfully complete this stage will be awarded the Extended Diploma in International Business and Strategy (SCQF level 11 Extended Diploma in International Business and Strategy) from Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) in association with Cambridge International Qualifications (CIQ). This diploma is recognized internationally for advanced placement at the Master's Degree level.

Once you move to the dissertation (thesis) stage, you will be assigned a Dissertation guide who will be support you through the Research and Dissertation project. The Guide normally has 4 meetings with the learners: first, the proposal meeting, then the first review, third, a second review, and lastly, a final review.

A dissertation will have about 10,000 words. We will be conducting Dissertation guidance classes every month which you need to attend to get a clear understanding of dissertation work and what is expected out of your research. This is in addition to the Dissertation guide meetings. Once you submit the final dissertation, then you may be called for a "viva" to defend your dissertation depending on the decision of the assessor. The result will be published within 30 days of submission of the dissertation; if you fail the dissertation, then you will have an opportunity to resubmit the work as per the feedback provided by the assessor, and the corrected work should be submitted within 30 days of publishing the results.

If you fail on your resubmission, then you may have to pay the dissertation fee again and you will need to start over on a new project.

Once you have enrolled for the Dissertation, you need to submit the final work within 6 months of enrollment. In case of failure of submission, an extension fee will be applicable. The shortest time allocated to submit the dissertation is 90 days.

You can complete the IMBA Degree from a minimum of 9 months to a maximum of 24 months, based on your pace, time, and financial availability.

We are following the ‘Pay as you go scheme for our learners. Learners can select how to proceed by choosing either flexible or fixed payment, learners have to complete each module within 21 to 60 days from the enrollment date based on the chosen payment method.

Yes, the IMBA is awarded by Guglielmo Marconi University University approved by Ministry of Education, Italy as well as ENIC NAARIC (National Recognition Information Centers of the European Union). Hence it is globally accepted. However, different countries have different requirements, so they may enforce their own regulations.

Under any unforeseen circumstances, if you want to withdraw from the program, you may apply for an Early Exit Award. Based on the credits earned and modules completed, you might receive a credit statement or a diploma, or an extended diploma by paying the certification fee. You will be able to resume the course at a later date by re-enrolling and may resume from where you stopped, depending on the availability of that particular course at the time of re-enrollment.
