I am Sumika Gurung from Darjeeling, India. I am currently working in Singapore as an Assistant Manager – HR. I am the eldest child of my parents, and my father was a Doctor while my mother is a retired teacher. I have one sibling who was working as a steward for an airline, but now, since the pandemic broke out, she runs her own Airline training Institute in India.

Whenever I face a problem at work, what I usually do is calm myself down. I try to reflect on and analyze the problem. I attempt to settle myself with a calm and clear mind. In the event I'm unable to resolve it, I turn to my senior and request advice.

The biggest challenge I have personally faced in my life was losing my father. He was my inspiration, and I always looked up to him whenever I faced problems in my life.

Ever since I gave up depending on people and always tried to do things through my own efforts, I also cultivated the inner confidence I need to handle any kind of situation alone.

I would like to change one thing about myself, which is trusting people blindly. Due to this habit of mine, many people broke my trust and took advantage of it.
