 Please tell us something about yourself, your family and your interests. 


I am a husband and a father of three sons, I am a keen traveler and reader.

 What drew you to the program you are studying at Athena? Is it living up to your expectations?

I work for an international business and my keen interest in learning how international organisations are run drove me to this programme. 
 

What would you like to learn next? What are your next career steps? 


I want to learn to be a Strategic Development Manager.

Are you working somewhere? If yes, what do you feel is the most enjoyable/rewarding aspect of your job? 

 Yes, I am working for Minor International. Formulating the strategy of the organization  and being responsible for its sustainability are the most enjoyable aspects of my job.

What do you see as your greatest strength?

Executing effective Cost Containment of an organization is my greatest strength.

What is your most cherished memory?

Successfully developing and executing a Business Recovery Structure following Covid-19 in my organization is my most cherished memory.

Which country have you always wanted to visit and why? 

I have always wanted to visit  Italy and United Arab Emirates. 

Do you have professional role models? Who are they and what do you find inspiring about them and their accomplishments?  

Yes, Professor Willie Chinyamurindi, professor in the Department of Business Management at the University of Fort Hare, is my professional role model. He considers himself a pan-Africanist and is a scholar promoting such ideals in his work. I find his publications inspiring as his research is along aspects of human and organizational capabilities and how they contribute towards the theme of development. 

If you could go on a road trip with anyone in history, who would it be?  

I would take my wife and my kids as they are my favourite people.

What have you learned from your experiences that you would like to pass on to others?

As a Human Resources Manager,  I learned that my strengths are to be alert to possibilities, look for better ways of doing things and adapt to change quickly.
