Please tell us about yourself, your family and your interests.
I am from an Italian family originating from Verona, Italy, and now living in South Africa. I have two brothers who live in Europe and I am the middle child. My wife and I have four children including twins who keep us very busy. My interests embrace military history and sports…but my greatest passion is Italian Motoring. My Italian motorcycles are my hobby, both riding and repairing them.
What drew you to the program you are studying at Athena? Is it living up to your expectations?
The opportunity to study for an Italian qualification, even though I live in South Africa, drew me to UniAthena. I am happy with what I have seen thus far from the online platform and I appreciate the fact that it will be a rigorous journey towards the qualification.
What would you like to do after completing this course from Athena?
I will celebrate the accomplishment and get ready for a new academic challenge which remains to be defined.
What do you think makes a great teacher?
From what I have seen in my academic and work career, patience is what defines good teachers. One must have the patience to understand that not all humans think, act or behave the same. One must celebrate that fact and adjust teaching accordingly.
What’s your dream job?
To be the CEOof a company…it’s as simple as that.
What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?
I kept my sanity, my career and my well-being intact through the divorce from my first wife for the sake of my daughter at that time.
What is your best childhood memory?
Gorging on my grandfather’s pasta and the time living in Egypt with my family-- the latter brought us three brothers close.
What is your idea of a perfect vacation?
Anywhere in the world as long as my whole family is there.
Which fictional character (a character from a film, book, TV series, play) would you like to be friends with?
Staff Sergeant Don “Wardaddy” Collier from the movie Fury.
Mention one important lesson you have learned in life that made you what you are today.
One must have the patience to understand that not all humans think, act or behave the same. Don’t see your own version of the world as anything other than just that yours.
