Tell us about a time you planned and accomplished a challenging goal.
I organised charity and humanitarian aid for a local community organisation, a task that was challenging. The purpose was to raise funds for social initiatives, including feeding the homeless, providing medications, and supporting education for underprivileged children. To reach this goal, I devised a detailed plan that encompassed venue selection, donor coordination, event promotion, and logistics. I recruited volunteers to help with event planning and implementation. I constantly updated the team on fundraising goals and deadlines to keep everyone engaged. Despite budget limitations and unforeseen setbacks, we persisted and developed inventive solutions. Our hard work paid off; the charity fundraising event went above and beyond and raised a lot of money for the community organisation. Watching our efforts pay off and knowing we had helped others was gratifying.

Describe a time you stepped outside your comfort zone and demonstrated leadership skills.
My former job was leading a cross-functional team to increase health system efficiency. To demonstrate leadership, I promoted teamwork and open communication. I met often to discuss project progress, goals, and challenges. I also encouraged team members to speak up through open communication and feedback. My role required me to engage with key stakeholders across departments. I sought their inputs, provided project updates, and resolved issues fast to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Leaving your comfort zone comes with increased responsibility and tough decisions. I resolved conflicts, prioritised tasks, and kept the project on track despite tight deadlines and unforeseen events. The new software system was deployed on time and on budget as a result of effective leadership, communication, and decision-making. The project improved operational efficiency and showed my ability to lead a team and succeed outside my comfort zone.
Which book would you recommend as a must-read for everyone, and why?
The book I would love to recommend is Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" for its universal themes and thought-provoking insights.
The classic "To Kill a Mockingbird" addresses racism, morality, compassion, and empathy. Scout Finch, a 1930s Southern teen, watches her father, Atticus Finch, defend a black man unfairly convicted of raping a white lady. The novel stresses morality despite discrimination and suffering. It challenges readers' preconceptions and fosters empathy. Beautifully crafted, "To Kill a Mockingbird" has realistic characters and great storytelling for all ages. For thought-provoking reading, its timeless themes and intelligent message appeal to readers worldwide.
What is your dream job, and why?
For me, my dream job is defined by more than just a title or position; it is an expression of a broader narrative. It should create meaningful impact, offer intellectual stimulation, and promote a healthy work-life balance. I seek personal fulfilment, opportunities for growth, a positive workplace culture, and financial stability."
Do you have any message for professionals just starting out in their careers?
Professionals at the beginning of their professions should embrace learning at all stages. One should emphasize building relationships, staying resilient, outlining clear goals, being proactive, seeking feedback, and prioritising work-life balance.
