Tell us about yourself and what made you choose your program at UniAthena? How do you think it will help you in your future career?

My name is Ronel Dixon, and my path of academic and professional growth has demanded ambition, perseverance, and continuous learning. For me, education is more than just acquiring information—it’s a stepping stone to achieving my dreams. This journey has been filled with challenges, and aspirations, which has shaped my perspective and drive.

My passion for lifelong learning and self-improvement led me to UniAthena. The moment I discovered the Global MBA program, I was drawn to its comprehensive curriculum, flexibility, and direct relevance to my career goals. I truly believe that this academic experience will equip me with the advanced knowledge and leadership skills I need to thrive in my industry.

What are you most excited to learn or explore next in your studies?

As someone who is always eager to expand my expertise, I find immense excitement in exploring advanced topics within my field. Gaining deeper insights not only sharpens my problem-solving skills but also enhances my strategic thinking. The dynamic learning environment at UniAthena keeps me engaged, motivated, and always ready to push my limits while embracing new perspectives.

Could you outline your career goals you have in mind for after completing your current academic journey?

Upon completing my Global MBA, my goal is to step into a leadership role within my industry while also expanding my companies, which specialize in strategic consulting and management advice. I am deeply passionate about making a meaningful impact by implementing innovative strategies and driving organizational growth. With the strong foundation I’m building at UniAthena, I see myself in roles that demand critical decision-making and strategic execution, allowing me to contribute at a higher level.

How are you managing your studies along with the work in your personal life?

Managing studies alongside work and personal commitments can be challenging, but I have developed effective time-management strategies to maintain a healthy balance. Prioritizing tasks, setting clear goals, and staying disciplined in my schedule ensure that I fulfill both my academic and professional responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed. The ability to manage my time effectively has been essential in making steady progress toward my ambitions.

Share a specific example of a challenging goal you set for yourself and successfully accomplished. What did you learn from this experience?

I recall a time at work when I set a particularly difficult goal—completing a professional certification while working full-time. It required perseverance, dedication, and smart time management, but I pushed through and achieved it. That experience reinforced my belief in the power of resilience and self-discipline, proving that hard work and determination always pay off.

From your experiences so far, what personal qualities do you think are important for achieving success?

Reflecting on my journey, I’ve come to realize that perseverance, adaptability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success. Continuous learning, embracing challenges, and staying committed to long-term goals have been key to my personal and professional growth. Every challenge presents an opportunity to improve, and I have learned to approach obstacles with a solution-oriented mindset.

Tell us about a time when you stepped outside your comfort zone to take on a leadership role. What was the outcome?

Stepping outside my comfort zone has been a crucial part of my development. I took on a leadership role in a project that required coordinating a team and making critical decisions. Although it was challenging at first, I embraced the responsibility and led the team to success. That experience strengthened my leadership skills and gave me confidence in handling complex situations—skills that will be invaluable as I advance in my career.

If you could recommend one book that you believe everyone should read, what would it be and why?

If there’s one book I would highly recommend, it’s Atomic Habits by James Clear. This book provides invaluable insights into personal and professional development, offering practical guidance on achieving goals and cultivating effective habits. It has helped me refine my approach to productivity and self-improvement, reinforcing the idea that small, consistent changes lead to significant results over time.

What is your dream job and what motivates you about it?

For those just starting their careers, my advice is simple—stay proactive in your learning, embrace challenges, and build strong connections within your industry. Adaptability is crucial in today’s fast-changing world, so be open to growth, seek mentorship, and remain committed to your long-term goals. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence and dedication, anything is possible.

What advice would you offer to professionals who are just starting their careers based on your own experiences?

This journey has been shaped by dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering belief in continuous growth. The lessons I’ve learned along the way have reinforced the importance of resilience and hard work.
