Please tell us about yourself and your family.

I'm Dhanya P, residing in Palakkad, Kerala, India. I have completed my Master of Business Administration (Finance and Human Resource) and have been working in the Human resource department. My family consists of my father, mother, brother, sister-in-law, my husband, and I have a son who is 5 years old.

What drew you to the programme you are studying at Athena? Do you think it would help you realise your career goals?

It was my long-time urge to earn certifications in Human Resource. But it was held up by many other matters which had to be settled first. I have a strong feeling that this will be a stepping stone to my goal.

What would you like to learn next? What are your next career steps?

I wish to do a SHRM course, and I would like to take a steep step in my career and to restart my career with a renowned and prestigious concern.

What do you enjoy doing in your leisure time?

I like to read fiction novels, garden, listen to music, and travel.

Suppose you had to live alone on a deserted island for a month. What are the 3 things you would bring with you?

The three main things which I would carry with me will be a

  • First Aid kit,
  • Knife,
  • Some clothes.

If you face a problem at work, what is the first thing you do?

I would try to understand what the actual problem is.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your life? How did you tackle it?

The biggest challenge I faced was my first job as a Human Resource executive, where, during my first week, I was instructed to hire some sales and marketing personnel along with office staff. As a beginner, I was relatively new to all those processes.

If you could only change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

If I have a chance, then I would not change anything, but, if necessary, I would like to control my temper as I'm short-tempered.

What did you want to become when you were a child?

I wanted to start my own business. I still have a business idea.

What is the last book you read and the last movie you saw?

The series of Lord Shiva, Doctor Strange in the World of Madness.

Who is the person you admire most and why?

I don’t have any such admiration; every individual is different, hence their behaviour too. It is too difficult to admire.
