Please tell us something about yourself, your family and your interests. 

I am married and the mother of two boys. I am passionate about software engineering, I work at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention but I also run a ticket ecommerce business. Music and dance are my hobbies.

What drew you to the program you are studying at Athena? Is it living up to your expectations? 

I own a business and I am inspired to help others. So I took up this program. It is a bit too soon to talk about expectations.

What would you like to learn next? What are your next career steps?

I would like to learn the basics of how to run a successful business and improve my strategic thinking to be prepared to handle management roles. The next step in my career is to apply for management positions and I am also planning to start some business which I think will help me to succeed.

Are you working somewhere? If yes, what do you feel is the most enjoyable/rewarding aspect of your job?

Yes, I am working at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people do something meaningful for others.

What do you see as your greatest strength?

I am committed to my goals and I like to learn. 
 

What is your most cherished memory? 

The birth of my sons is my most cherished memory. 

Which country have you always wanted to visit and why? 

I have always wanted to visit France. It is a beautiful country with picturesque places and delectable food. 

Do you have professional role models? Who are they and what do you find inspiring about them and their accomplishments? 

I have many. But if I can choose one, it  will be my eldest brother. He is committed, leads by example and very empathetic. 
 

If you could go on a road trip with anyone in history, who would it be?  

Nelson Mandela or Osho.

What have you learnt from your experiences that you would like to pass on to others?

That almost everything is possible if you fight for it and be resilient.
