Please tell us something about yourself, your family and your interests.

I am an outgoing person, passionate about outdoor life. I am a fan of literature and sports. I take a deep  interest in social empowerment in my local communities. I am a father of three, two boys and a girl.
 

What drew you to the program you are studying at Athena? Is it living up to your expectations?

I wanted a flexible study program that would allow me to continue working while studying. I have just started hence I can’t evaluate the performance as per my expectations.

What would you like to learn next? What are your next career steps?

Upon completion, I aspire to go for a PhD in the same discipline and later on, acquire a law degree. I aspire to be the CEO of a medium sized company in the next 5 years.

Are you working somewhere? If yes, what do you feel is the most enjoyable/rewarding aspect of your job?

Yes, I work as a Business Development Manager for De La Rue International Limited covering Anglophone Africa.

What do you see as your greatest strength?

I count persuasion and advocacy as my greatest strengths.

What is your most cherished memory?

The memory of my first graduation is very precious to me.

Which country have you always wanted to visit and why?

I have always wanted to visit Jamaica and the Solomon Islands.

Do you have professional role models? Who are they and what do you find inspiring about them and their accomplishments?  

Dr Geoffrey Muriira Karau  is my professional role model for being so self-effacing, unassuming and accommodating.

If you could go on a road trip with anyone in history, who would it be?  

It would be Lee Kuan Yew, former Prime Minister of Singapore, recognized as the nation’s founding father.

 What have you learned from your experiences that you would like to pass on to others?

I learned the art of negotiation, the need for optimism, and the management of narrative during communication and interactions with people and other entities-- these I would like to pass on to others.
