Please tell us something about yourself, your family and your  interests.

I am an extremely motivated person and do not give up when challenges arise. I have been married to my beautiful wife for almost 8 years and we have two amazing children. I have varied interests. I enjoy spending time researching and learning more about the Bible and Jewish culture. I have a strong passion for sports, especially cricket and soccer. My DNA is imprinted with the green and gold of Proteas (South African Cricket team), and my blood runs red with Manchester United.

What drew you to the program you are studying at Athena? Is it  living up to your expectations?

It has been my long time goal to pursue an MBA program. During a visit from my uncle, he advised me to go for the programs offered by Athena Global Education. I liked what I saw and the rest is history. So far, it is what I expected.

What would you like to learn next and what are your next career steps?

My next short term goal is to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Theology.  My ambition is to be a Director of my franchise.

Are you working somewhere? If yes, what do you feel is the most enjoyable/rewarding aspect of your job?

Yes, I am currently a Sales Manager. The most rewarding part of my job is to help develop and equip young financial advisors. I also feel very happy knowing the solutions we create for our clients.

What do you see as your greatest strength?

Being a good leader and building future leaders.

What is your most cherished memory?

There is more than one; the first is the day I got married and the next are the days my children were born.

Which country have you always wanted to visit and why?

Greece. It is just beautiful. The next is Israel, there is so much history and to be in the places and walk the land Jesus spent His days are so exciting.

Do you have professional role models? Who are they and what  do you find inspiring about them and their accomplishments?

I have two professional role models. Vusi Thembekwayo- He is an absolute inspiration as an entrepreneur. He keeps things real, gives sound advice and guidance.

Lugen Govindasamy - He is currently the franchise principle for Trident Wealth Management. He is a young gentleman who pursued his dream and overcame the obstacles. He is one of the reasons I am pursuing the MBA program.

If you could go on a road trip with anyone in history, who would it  be?

King David.

What have you learnt from your experiences that you would like  to pass on to others?

Failing is ok, not achieving a goal is not the end. No matter how much you lose, no matter how many times you fall, as long as you still have breath in your lungs, you have the ability to rebuild. Failure is only a stepping stone to success, not a mountain blocking our path.
