To the faculty, tutors and administration of the Master in Engineering Management program at Guglielmo Marconi University (through the UniAthena online platform).

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent support, teaching, and online study structure throughout my Master’s in Engineering Management program. From the beginning through to completion, the programme’s design,  tutor-supervisor guidance,  teaching materials and the flexibility of the online model proved to be outstanding.

Your approach allowed me to balance professional responsibilities, personal life and study in a way that would not have been possible in a conventional campus-only setting. The platform’s structure — with clear modules, study materials, online access, tutor supervision and a student-experience officer / mentor assigned to support the journey — gave me peace of mind and the freedom to engage deeply with the content at my own pace. 

I especially appreciate how each student is allocated a personal tutor/mentor, and the system of study credits, learning outcomes and flexible timing that put the learner in charge of their path.

The provision of high-quality notes, reference readings, online discussion forums, and the availability of administrative and IT support made the entire educational experience smooth and professional.

The tutors and my supervisor deserve special thanks for their dedication, responsiveness and academic rigour. They were always available when I had questions, they guided me through complex topics in engineering management with clarity, and they encouraged reflection, application and deeper critical thinking. 

Their feedback on assignments and project work helped me to integrate theory into practical professional contexts. In particular, the supervisor’s role in steering the culminating work was instrumental in helping me bring together my learning, my prior experience and the new frameworks I was acquiring.

The teaching materials — lectures (online or pre-recorded), readings, case-studies, discussion tasks and project work — were of a consistently high standard. Everything I needed to study, to reflect, to apply and to progress was provided: from foundational engineering management concepts, strategic decision-making models, leadership and change management, to quantitative analysis and project implementation. 

The student handbook clearly explained module levels, credit values (for example, 1 credit = 10 study hours) ensuring transparency in workload expectations.

Moreover, the administrative support — enrollment, portal access, technical help-desk, student-experience officer — created an environment in which I felt looked after, motivated and empowered to succeed.

Completing this Master’s programme has significantly contributed to both my personal and professional growth. On a personal level, I developed stronger academic discipline, improved my ability to self-manage learning, and enhanced my confidence in tackling complex engineering management challenges. 

Professionally, the knowledge I gained in strategic management, leadership in technical contexts, project planning and implementation, and in managing change and innovation, has strengthened my role as an engineering field professional. 

I am now better equipped to integrate engineering, management and business considerations in my daily work, communicate more effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and take a broader strategic viewpoint — all of which will help me advance my career, especially as I contemplate new opportunities globally.

To future learners, I would encourage you to take full advantage of every resource the programme offers: Engage actively with your tutor and supervisor, immerse yourself in the case-studies and project work, make use of the flexible online model to fit study into your life, and treat this programme as a launchpad not just for a degree, but for transformation.
