Beginning the Master in Organizational Leadership program at UniAthena while serving with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) was one of the most strategic decisions I have made for my career. 

IOM’s dynamic, cross-cultural environment challenged me to engage with diverse teams with empathy, agility, and clarity. The program offered timely and practical knowledge that I could apply immediately, helping me navigate complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics more effectively.

As I transitioned to my current role as Head of Human Resources at Minas Moatize, a coal mining company with a similarly diverse workforce, the insights and frameworks from the program continued to serve me immensely. The curriculum’s strong emphasis on ethical leadership, strategic planning, managerial communication and change management has allowed me to lead with greater influence and resilience.

Through this Master program, I improved my capabilities in aligning organizational goals with people strategies, fostering inclusive cultures, and driving high-impact HR initiatives. These have directly contributed to enhanced employee engagement, improved retention, and a stronger organizational culture—both at IOM and now at Minas Moatize Limitada.
