Admission Requirement

Academic Route

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or academic equivalent) in any subject.

Mature Entry Route

If you don’t have a Bachelor’s degree, you can apply through our mature entry route. You’ll need to provide evidence of 5 years (Minimum) of relevant managerial work experience, along with certificates of your highest diplomas/degrees/professional certifications and an updated resume. Applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please send these details to  [email protected]. Applicants should be 23 years of age or above. Admission through the Mature Entry Route will be subject to the discretion of UniAthena and the respective Awarding Bodies/Universities.

English Language Proficiency

If you are not a native speaker, you should have an appropriate English proficiency level, e.g. an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent in all bands or possess a bachelor’s degree delivered and assessed in English, or proof of work experience in an English-speaking environment.

Learners wishing to be admitted to the  Master program should satisfy the following requirements:

1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in any subject.

4. Applicants admitted to the program via the Mature Entry Route are required to obtain their Postgraduate Diploma Certificates as a mandatory step.

All applicants are required to upload the following documents in order to be eligible for admission:

1. Proof of having earned a Bachelor's Degree - such as a Degree Certificate. If the documents are not in English, official translations should be submitted.
2. The final transcript of Bachelor's Degree.
3. A copy of the government-issued photo identity card.
4. Applicants without a Bachelor's degree can apply through our mature entry route. Applicants will need to provide evidence of 5 years (Minimum) of relevant managerial work experience, along with certificates of your highest diplomas/degrees/professional certifications and an updated resume.

Follow these steps to formally enroll into the Master in Public Health:

1. Register on Athena Global Education for a free 7-day trial.
2. Upload all the documents as required under the 'Eligibility Criteria' to the learning portal by clicking on 'Enroll Now' on the learning dashboard.
3. The academic panel will then review your documents and if found to be eligible, send you an 'Admission Offer Letter'.
4. On receiving the 'Admission Offer Letter', you can pay for one module.
5. You can pay for multiple modules together if you like. However, you will be given access to subsequent module content only after completing the previous module.
Once your payment is confirmed, you will be sent an official 'Admission Letter' along with a receipt for the amount paid. You will also get access to the Assignment related documents in the 'Project Details' section.

Once you register for the course, you will have access to the learning resources of the first module (or "course" in the American system) where you can access the learning materials and the e-library. Your access to these learning resources will end after 7 days of registration and you will need to enroll for the program. In order to be eligible for admission, you must upload all the eligibility-related documents on the learning portal and subsequently must have received an 'Offer of Admission' letter.

The fast-track plan comes with monthly payment options, propelling learners to fast-forward their learning journeys and offering substantial savings on module fees. In contrast, the flexible plan is tailored to work around the hectic schedules of professionals, enabling them to progress and eliminate monthly financial obligations.

Flexible Learning: This learning route provides more flexibility in terms of course completion time which is ideal for working professionals with prior commitments. It also eliminates monthly financial obligations for learning and allows learners to progress at their pace.

Fast-track Learning: This route is preferred by individuals looking for shorter duration for course completion and are willing to dedicate substantial time to studies. It is ideal for quick career advancement and features fixed monthly payments that offer substantial saving on the module fees.

Yes, the Fast Track payment plans include Course Extension Charges as follows:

  1. Course Extension for 3 months: USD 250
  2. Course Extension for 6 months: USD 500
  3. Course Extension for 9 months: USD 750
  4. Course Extension for 12 months: USD 1000

Please note:

  • You can extend in phases of 3 months each by paying USD 250 every time (i.e., every 3 months extension will be charged at USD 250).
  • The minimum extension period is 3 months, meaning you must pay a minimum of USD 250 for a 3-month extension, even if you finish in less than 3 months.

Yes, learners have the option to switch from one plan to the other during their learning journey. However, a course plan switch fee of USD 300 will be applicable.

After enrolling in a particular program or receiving the admission letter, we are unable to offer refunds as per our policy. However, prior to enrollment, all learners have the option to utilize the free trial period, which lasts between 3 to 7 days.

The Referral Policy is a UniAthena initiative to make our programs more  affordable to the learners. Learners can  share programs with  friends, family or even peers. If the Invitee enrolls for the suggested program, the next module is made free of charge.

Yes. Students may request a course transfer by submitting an application to the Academic Department. Upon approval, the transfer will be processed. A USD 300 course transfer fee applies for programs such as MBA, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and DBA, while a USD 100 transfer fee applies for transfers between Microcredit courses.

The core resources of the program are video classes and related reading materials. The video lessons and reading materials will provide you with adequate knowledge to understand the module content. 

Additionally, you will also be learning from webinars, online library, additional learning materials and case studies curated by faculty.

Yes, whenever a learner joins, she/he will be assigned a Personal Tutor, whom the learners can reach out for any academic assistance. For any non-academic assistance, learners can reach out to the Student Engagement & Experience ([email protected]).

There are no written exams for this program. All modules except midterm projects follow a summative & formative assessment method, where you will have to complete unit-wise quizzes and assignments. You can access quizzes and assignments under the "Project Details" section in the learning portal. Each quiz allows two attempts, with the best score counted, and you must complete the quiz before you can access the assignment. Assignments allow only one submission, and once submitted, no changes can be made.
For the module midterm project you will be assessed through the submission of a report and a PowerPoint presentation.
After you submit the assignment and quiz, the faculty will evaluate and provide feedback including results (your grade) within 7 days of your submission. If you fail, you will receive detailed feedback explaining the reasons for the failure. You will need to revise your work based on the assessor’s comments and resubmit the assignment within 7 days of receiving your results. There are no additional fees for resubmission.
If you do not resubmit the assignment within 60 days, you may request a extension for resubmission by paying an extension fee. If you fail again on your resubmission, you may apply for a retake by paying a retake fee.

All exempted modules will be marked as “Pass” or 50% grade. No merit or distinction grades will be granted for the exempted modules.

Once you move to the dissertation (thesis) stage, you will be assigned a Research Supervisor who will support you through the Research and Dissertation project. The Guide normally has 3 meetings with the learners: first introductory meeting, then a second review and lastly, a final review.

Once you complete the final research and dissertation, then you may be called for a "viva" to defend your dissertation depending on the decision of the Research Committee. The result will be published within 30 days of submission of the dissertation; if you fail the dissertation, then you will have an opportunity to resubmit the work as per the feedback provided by the Research Committee and the corrected work should be submitted within 30 days of publishing the results.

If you fail on your resubmission, then you may have to pay the dissertation fee again and you will need to start over on a new project.

Once you have enrolled for the dissertation, you need to submit the final work within 3-6 months of enrollment. In case of failure of submission, an extension fee will be applicable.


Note:
The final viva will be scheduled once the learner successfully completes the full payment for the chosen course.

You can complete this Master Program from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 24 months, based on your pace, time, and financial availability.

A module can be completed in a minimum of 21 days. The maximum duration is 45 days for a fixed schedule and 60 days for a flexible schedule.

Yes, the Master in Public Health is awarded by Guglielmo Marconi University University approved by Ministry of Education, Italy. Hence it is globally accepted. However, different countries have different requirements, so they may enforce their own regulations.

Under any unforeseen circumstances, if you want to withdraw from the program, you may apply for an Early Exit Award. Based on the credits earned and modules completed, you might receive a credit statement or a diploma or an extended diploma by paying the certification fee. You will be able to resume the course at a later date by re-enrolling and may resume from where you stopped, depending on the availability of that particular course at the time of re-enrollment.

Successful learners will be able to attend the annual graduation ceremony conducted in Italy. GMU will provide an invitation letter to all such learners which can be used for processing your visa for this purpose.

On successful completion of all the modules and Dissertation, learners can claim for a certificate by making the payment for certification fees. Upon claiming the certificate, it will take a maximum of 3 months for the learners to receive the certificate from the awarding body.
Extra Courier charges of $50 has to be paid for receiving the hardcopy of the certificate.

GMU certificates are typically issued within 90 to 120 days from the date of course completion.
