Enrolling in the Master program in Public Health (MPH) has been one of the most valuable academic and professional decisions I have made. The program equipped me with a structured, evidence-based understanding of public health that goes far beyond theory and is directly applicable to real-world health systems, policy-making, and population-wide decision-making.
What I particularly appreciated was the program’s strong focus on critical thinking, health systems analysis, epidemiology, health economics, and prevention strategies. The curriculum allowed me to connect academic frameworks with practical challenges in healthcare. This combination significantly strengthened my ability to analyze complex public health problems and to propose realistic, data-driven solutions.
My research experience was a defining element of the program, and I am especially grateful to my research supervisor, Ankita Jawalkar, for her guidance, availability, and intellectual rigor. Her support helped me refine my research question, improve my methodological approach, and develop a disciplined way of thinking that will stay with me throughout my career.
The Master in Public Health has had a tangible impact on my professional work. It has enhanced my ability to work with data, interpret evidence, engage with stakeholders, and contribute meaningfully to discussions on health policy, prevention programs, and system-level reforms. The program strengthened my confidence in working across disciplines (with clinicians, economists, policymakers, and industry representatives) and provided me with a shared language and framework to do so effectively.
