Learning Journey: Boosts Academics, Career, Managerial Skills

"My time at UniAthena was a roller coaster in some ways, juggling busy schedules, staying up late, and studying on weekends alongside family and personal commitments, all while staying focused on my studies." On the other hand, the skills I gained in the process cannot be equated, even an iota, to the immense knowledge I gained from human resource management, administration efficiency, and varied professional areas not adequately addressed in my engineering degree. 

My greatest fear was whether I would be able to strike the right balance between my work and studies. The outcome quashed my initial fears and profoundly exceeded my expectations. My professional background initially posed some challenges in comprehending the basic principles of some critical disciplines. However, my personal tutor, Ms. Sanjeeta Thapa, was patient enough to meticulously guide me through the process and make the apparently complex assignment easy and enjoyable to learn and execute. Moreover, even with my irregular schedule and stringent deadlines, she always made time for me, even at odd hours and on short notice. Constrained by time and other limitations, sometimes I believe I could not have scored higher if I had no access to the aforementioned resource. Despite this,I am satisfied with the results I achieved at the end of each module. 

As part of the research project, I have been a member of one of the SACCOs in Kenya. When I began my MBA academic journey, I knew this was something I must research and develop sustainable solutions for. Despite the sheer will to succeed, Sanjeeta was instrumental in putting all the ideas and processes into a narrative that conforms to the standards of a research proposal. My sense of optimism and desire to complete the dissertation in a timely manner emerged from this foundation. My gratitude also goes to Ms. Sayali Joshi, who made all this possible. Overall, this learning journey has been phenomenal, not only for raising my academic standing and professional development, but also for improving my managerial skills tenfold.
