Girne American University (GAU), established in 1985, at Kyrenia, a city in the northern area of Cyprus, is the first private university of Cyprus. Ranked as “One of the Best 100 Higher Education Provider Universities” in the Eduniversal rankings, it has over 18,000 graduates from 135 countries around the world. It is a global university with 7 international campuses in 3 continents.
GAU has a dedicated and highly qualified faculty and a curriculum that equips graduates for personal and professional success. It provides access to the American System of learning with internationally accredited programs.
GAU has 71 undergraduate programs in 11 Faculties, 8 Schools, a Graduate School and a Foundation English School.
