When it comes to joyful and entertaining series, how can someone ignore FRIENDS? A TV show that celebrates life in all its facets. It’s the story of six young people living in New York City.

The show was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. The show has an excellent cast, Jennifer Aniston starred as Rachel, Courteney Cox appeared as Monica, Lisa Kudrow played Phoebe, Matt LeBlanc played Joey, Matthew Perry portrayed Chandler, and David Schwimmer played Ross.

The plot starts in the coffee shop with 5 of them discussing some topic, when a new member, Rachel, attempting to escape her marriage, encounters her childhood friend, Monica. Monica is a chef with a compassionate and responsible nature. Rachel is from a wealthy family and intended to marry a dentist, but has had an unfulfilling life. Ross, who is Monica’s brother, has had a crush on Rachel since childhood despite never saying anything to her. Ross is upset due to his broken marriage, as his wife is homosexual. Ross is a palaeontologist and works at the museum. Ross's best friend Chandler is sarcastic and uses humor in most of the scenarios. He is a corporate chap. Joey is a struggling actor and Chandler's roommate. Last but not least, they have Phoebe, who is a somewhat strange and spiritual character.

Since everyone was working, they all recommended that Rachel get a job and become financially independent. She started working in a coffee shop.

Eventually, with the progression of the series, the characters also grow. Rachel and Ross started dating. And Rachel also works in the fashion industry. Chandler and Monica become lovebirds and get married. Joey gets to work in a soap opera.

Ross and Rachel broke up after a year. Joey could not make it a success in the soap opera.

But the love between Chandler and Monica was beautiful. However, they could not have their newborns due to medical concerns. Eventually, they decided to adopt one baby, and they ended up adopting twins.

In the end, Chandler and Monica move to town for a better ambiance. Phoebe got married.

Joey moves to Los Angeles, Ross and Rachel fall in love again, become parents and live together.

Throughout the 10 seasons, there were many highs and lows, as Ross got married twice. Chandler quits the job and takes up a job that he likes. Joey gets to work in the soap opera again.

One of the positive and noticeable aspects of this show is that none of the characters is overachieving anything. They have daily issues, which they solve with the help of their friends. It is one of the reasons friends are preferred over family due to this transactional life.

This show has ten seasons, and every episode is worth watching. The episode starts with the name "the one with".

Some famous catchphrases are "How are you doing?" Or "Joey doesn’t share food.".

"Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you?"

It is also recommended by many doctors for patients struggling with depression and anxiety. It may not be the greatest comedy show, but it will leave you feeling positive.
