Life has many windows, through which you can see the beautiful colours of life. But the truth is that not everyone tries to see those colours. Most people always run towards the main door of death when they have problems. They don’t even realise that death is not the ultimate solution to all our problems. Beautiful things happen when you love yourself and realise the ultimate aim of your journey. Living life is more courageous than lying in a coffin.

Life becomes interesting when you start exploring and overcoming all the challenges and ultimately find out the true colours of life. Life is filled with so many emotions. Some make us stay in life, and some force us to choose death. Finding out what emotions make us stay and inspire us to keep going is an important thing in life. Sometimes it may be a person, a place, a pet, or even a thing. Choosing those things that make us feel at home and bring happiness will guide us to a beautiful destination. Through that journey, you will experience the great lessons of life. They are the lessons of love, happiness, hardships, peace, and more.

Mr. Coelho, like in his previous works, infused this book with life's flavours and truths.Veronica, a 24-year-old young girl, plays the central character of this story. After experiencing depression because of the emptiness of her life, she attempts to commit suicide through an overdose of sleeping pills. But she woke up in a mental hospital. There she is told that although she is alive, her heart is now irreparably damaged and she has only a few days to live. But she was afraid if she wished to live during this period. But she started to live as she always had because it was not a matter since she knew that she was going to die within days. There she met a boy named Eduardo, and they gradually became friends and started sharing their feelings. For the first time, she finds interest in someone and feels comfortable as she had some relationships earlier. Thus, she finds out the colours of her life. She came to understand that life has not only sorrows and worries but also happiness and joy. Eduardo’s company made her realise that she was wrong, and she felt sorry for what she had done to her family. He was the only man who told her the real meaning of life and, through his presence, she came to understand the importance of family members and how important it is to show love and respect to others.

The book is absolutely eye-opening, not only for those who plan to commit suicide, but for those with a sense of emptiness in life. Life has different shades, it's all about perspective. We get to know that only if we try to explore ourselves. Otherwise, we will not be able to find out what exactly life means. The first thing people need is the courage to live a life the way they want. If people can’t live the way they want, they will feel life to be aimless and empty. Gradually, they start to hate the life they live and chase death.

Life is a choice between birth and death. It is deeply connected with emotions. That makes us live and die. to feel full and empty. Until you lose, you don’t know the value of what you have. Look at what you have in life and always be thankful for what you have. This book reminds us of those moments, and every such moment in our lives is special and beautiful.
