During my search for an online course that could fit into my job schedule and align with my aspirations, I discovered the Master of Business Administration programme. The programme is offered by UniAthena in alliance with GMU, Italy, with a core management focus. After enrolling in the course in October 2021, I embarked on a two-year journey. With a background as a Medical Laboratory technologist and 17 years of middle management experience, I currently work as a Consultant Technical Advisor at the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation in Uganda.
Upon joining the course, I was fortunate to be assigned Mr. Argha Chakraborty as my learning facilitator. From the very beginning, he instilled in me the belief that the goals I had set were within my reach. As a perfectionist, he urged me to produce high-quality work, paying meticulous attention to detail in order to ensure that I met the university's standards across various modules. Whenever I faced academic challenges, Mr. Chakraborty was readily available to provide guidance and suggest effective approaches and tools to overcome them. His leadership and dedication to education were truly inspiring.
However, my journey hit a roadblock when I contracted COVID-19, and I felt disheartened and discouraged. I stayed away from the course for over a month, unsure if I could continue. Mr Chakraborty was there for me, offering unwavering support and encouragement and urging me to resume my studies whenever I regained my strength.
Throughout the training, Mr Chakraborty has taught me the importance of considering different perspectives when approaching challenges. He emphasized the need to implement cost-effective and feasible solutions in a given environment. The regular check-ins during the modules and his direct, unequivocal feedback made learning not only easier but also enjoyable.
As I'm in the final phase of my MBA course, I am more convinced than ever that even a PhD is within my reach. With facilitators like Mr. Argha Chakraborty, there are no limits to what one can achieve. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any opportunity related to career growth.
