My name is Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulrahman and I was born on July 10, 1990 in Maiduguri, a city in northern Nigeria bordering Cameroon and Chad. I have always dreamed of having my own business and trade consumer goods between these three countries.
My interest in pursuing a career in entrepreneurship came from the work experience I had in my father’s company. I was able to witness and grasp the necessary qualities required to excel in this field. I was intrigued and determined to work on these qualities to become successful in my dream career.

The more I educate myself about business management, the more confident I become that a leading career in entrepreneurship will surely benefit me.
Academic research and life experience taught me that ethics, innovation, budget, customer relationship, and leadership skills are the recipes for successful entrepreneurship. I believe that success in entrepreneurship, especially in this day and age, requires management, communication, leadership, technical and business skills.
Leadership is something that I have taught myself to master, and my high school had recognized that by appointing me as the class representative and captain of the football team, which I believe has further improved my communication and leadership skills.
Reading business journalism and watching the Dragon Den British TV program taught me how important it is to have business and financial acumen. To improve it further, I always worked closely with my father and observed how he carries out his negotiations with his clients, bankers, and suppliers; how he continually wants to keep up with new technologies and systems to manage his business activities better. This experience turned out to be very educational, mostly due to the fact that my work experience was directly related to the course I wanted to study.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of East London and I am satisfied with it. I graduated with first-class honors and was awarded the President Award (Best Student) for the 2011 graduating year. The university awarded me a scholarship for my master's program, but unfortunately, I could not continue with my master's program because I was eager to start my own business in Africa.
Currently, I own a company in central Africa that is into manufacturing, trading, and distribution of its well-known brands in Cameroon, Chad, and the Republic of Central Africa. I am also pursuing Masters in International Business at the Guglielmo Marconi University, Italy.
I am very keen on sports and I pursue that in my leisure time. My favorite sport is football. Due to the responsibilities I have in my current career, I run in the evening and go to the gym three times a week to improve my overall general physical fitness; it helps make me stay focused, sharp, and alert.
